Eason Taylor,

Your writers say that the Republican Establishment have been gearing up for a special effort to re-take the White House since 2009 (Mitt Romney's poor state problem, April 12). And this is the best they could come up with? I still can't believe they will nominate Romney who is a complete dill who will be overwhelmed by Obama when the "real thing" starts. For many years we've heard about "brokered conventions" when, in "smoke-filled rooms" the party bosses choose a candidate. Maybe fiction will become fact this time.
