Then lots of workers jobs will be lost when Tiger closes its operations in Australia.
If the ACCC does reject the deal, there's nothing stopping Tiger withdrawing from the market and Virgin building a new low-cost airline from scratch (A tamed Tiger better than none, February 7). The Tiger brand is hardly a good one in Australia, anyway, and such a move would allow Borghetti to build something that would entice those legions of travellers who loathe Jetstar's arrogance and won't use it.
