Geoff Knox, the CEO of Downer EDI has conducted his second market briefing since starting in February 2008. The 11 June briefing stated that the company is healthy and that the misadventures of its rail and mining divisions in 2007 are over. Most analysts received the news positively but some felt that it was light on detail, did not include growth targets and did not include expected divestments. Knox said it is unlikely that any assets will be sold in the "immediate or medium terms"
