Signs ozone layer may be in slow recovery

The European Space Agency says the threat posed by the depletion of the ozone layer may be diminishing. Diego Loyola of the German Aerospace Agency says there is evidence to suggest that ozone has actually increased slightly over the last decade or so. Meanwhile, the hole in the ozone layer over the Antarctic was around 25 million sq km in mid-September 2009, compared with a peak of 27.4 million sq km three years earlier
