Australian Federal Budget

BUDGET 2012. Australian Federal Budget for 2012. Indepth commentary and analysis by Business Spectator

What does the budget mean for your business?

The Federal Budget for 2012 will be handed down by the Gillard government on the first Tuesday in May. It is Treasurer Wayne Swan’s fifth federal budget, and one in which the Labor Party has said they will bring the country’s finances back into surplus. Commentators have speculated this may be the last budget of the current Julia Gillard led government, with a possible early election looming after months of turmoil as a minority government.

Business Spectator will provide comprehensive coverage before and after budget night, with a special edition from the KGB released shortly after Wayne Swan begins his speech to the Australian Parliament. Alan Kohler, Stephen Bartholomeusz, Karen Maley, Robert Gottliebsen and Rob Burgess have your federal budget coverage covered.
