Freelancer.com has set a new world record, reporting that there are over four million freelance jobs currently posted on its site.
Freelancer.com's chief executive Matt Barrie attributed the success to the company's international strategy. In the past year, the company has translated its site into 10 different languages and has launched in 14 new countries.
“We are working aggressively to build a global franchise," Mr Barrie said.
“I can attribute our success so far to the hard work of our incredible team that spans just about every continent on the planet at this point."
The announcement follow the company’s acquisition of its great rival, the US based freelance job website, vWorker, which boosted the website company’s total number of users close to the seven million mark.
